Our Charity
Founded in 2003 and based at Whinflower Hall, Norton, North Yorkshire since 2008, we support people with learning and physical disabilities through a wide range of activities at the farm, as well as providing domiciliary care in the community.
From caring for alpacas to woodwork and from art to welding, with a wide and growing range of projects our service users engage in activities which teach useful and rewarding skills.
Our staff are not only support workers, though they are brilliant at that. They are also talented in a wide range of trades and crafts, from car mechanics to welding, from animal husbandry to carpentry, from art to music and from cookery to computers. Our service users make furniture and shepherd’s huts and household ornaments, compose music, create computer animations, take photographs, care for animals, volunteer, repair cars and laptops, play the piano and the drums, plant trees and make fences, grow vegetables and collect eggs, play with cats and have fun with each other. And build better lives.
